Officer Biography

Cathy Young, Vice President

Cathy young is Vice President of the Women's Freedom Network and editor of its newsletter. She was born in Moscow, Russia and came to the United States in 1980. She received a B.A. in English from Rutgers University in 1988. Her book about her childhood in Soviet Russia, Growing Up In Moscow: Memories of a Soviet Girlhood, was published in May 1989. Since 1993, Ms. Young has been a weekly columnist for the Detroit Daily News. She is also a frequent contributor to The Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Newsday, as well as well as Reason and The American Spectator. Ms. Young is currently at work on a book on contemporary feminism, Gender Wars, for the Free Press.
